Episode 26 - Mount Hagen Instant Coffee

 The beginning of our Instant Coffee Quest! Our first viewer request was for an instant coffee I was unable to track down. That stuck in my mind, and I wanted to try and find a good instant coffee in place of the one that has been discontinued. Can such a thing even be done?! Keep watching to find out!!

As we noted in the episode, I drank quite a bit of this coffee during my travels last year. It was very drinkable. Not amazing, but definitely not terrible, which I think is really saying something for instant coffee, given how low our expectations were to begin with.

Chad:

It’s hard for me to judge an instant coffee. I don’t typically drink instant coffee because of the way it tastes. This instant coffee was really good and I was happily surprised by it. It was a lighter roast which I’m not usually fond of either. I didn’t really taste any definitive notes but I liked this coffee.

Episode 15 -Black Tea Coffee

Episode 15- Yuanyang (Coffee and Black Tea) This episode was the first we recorded from separate states. For some reason the audio came out badly- You can't hear me at all! We think we can fix it, but in the meantime, here's a rough transcript. It has everything, unfortunately, but the actual tasting. I recall this one was kind of just "OK" not bad not great. Pretty much how you would expect a blend of black tea, coffee, and milk to taste. Didn't hate it but it's not one I'll ever revisit. Organic Pumpkin Pie Coffee and Evaluate Your Life Day! (Episode 61)

Today the 17th, is Evaluate Your Life day. Although it seems daunting it can be very useful. Seems a little scary but if you really put your mind to it and evaluate where you’ve been it makes it easier to make adjustments for your life now. You don’t have to evaluate your whole life either if that seems a bit too much. Perhaps the last year to make things easier. Either way you get a good idea of where you’ve been and where you want to go and to better correct your path to that goal. The recipe: 3-4 Scoops of organic canned Pumpkin Pie Mix (we recommend Farmer's Market brand, it's spiced to perfection.) 2 heaping scoops of coffee for every two cups of water (Kicking Horse "Hola" and bottled spring water work great) 1/3 cup of organic milk
