Episode 56 - High Brew Iced Coffee and Frankenstein



August 30th is Frankenstein Day, in honor of Mary Shelley, the woman who wrote Frankenstein. Born in 1797, Shelley wrote the novel was just 18. The story of a man who creates a monster through scientific experiments, Frankenstein is one of the earliest known sci-fi stories, predating the works of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells by several centuries.

Mary Shelly went on to write historical novels and a post-apocalyptic novel called the Last Man, which tells of a future world destroyed by plague.
